way back into love

It sucks to find out you're not indispensable in someone's life, when you previously thought you were. But well I guess it's the cold hard truth, and I should probably face it at some point.

To cheer up, I had a Ford City AMC movie fest today! Complete with greasy Popeyes (skipped gym and had Lindt dark chocolate truffles before that too. So much for losing weight for spring break...)

Bridge to Terabithia is a beautiful little tale about 2 kids who build a fantasy world to escape from their real-world problems. It's about friendship, and the power of imagination, and how there is seldom an absolute right or wrong. Think Disney shows are getting much grittier, according to the speed at which kids are growing up nowadays. The ending was bittersweet and perfect, but I seem to have watched something very much like it somewhere.

Lyrics and Music starred Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore - 2 of my favourite actors - in a rom-com about making music, what more could you want? :) Really liked the metaphor about falling in love: "The melody is like when you first meet someone; the lyrics are like when you get to know them more..." And it had original songs to boot! My new fave song is "Way Back Into Love":
