To B&J,

I'm not getting a speech at your banquet so here's my take on what makes your relationship work ;)

I think one can only get to know someone else really well by investing time and effort in them... And it's through our many hours travelling, planning, eating and shopping together, and especially in the days leading up to the big celebration, that I've been able to observe you as a couple and appreciate the ways 2 people work each other into their lives together.

It's not about showy displays and declarations of love (though of course there are necessary times and places for those), and not just about a shared history of good and bad times. It's about sacrifices and tolerance, promises and compromises, and above all, a pair of willing hearts to last through thick and thin.

It's not that you agree about everything (far from it in fact), or that either of you are perfect (=P). It's the 100% commitment you've both made to your marriage that makes it work, and I pray mine will be the same!

So once again, congratulations, and it's been my honour to help you plan your wedding.
