counting down
damn! i just typed a super-long post, and it got deleted. I'll try to recap:
Congratulations to VJChoir for getting Gold with Honors for SYF! Well, they've changed the award system somewhat... but we know we're second to (n)one ;) I'm so proud of the juniors... heh there's always that regret that we should've been the ones to win... but this time zhen1 de4 shi4 qing1 chu1 yu2 lan2. i have nothing to say except, GOOD JOB!! At last, we've broken the 20-year curse :D
So the rumours flying amongst us ever-present, refusing-to-be-forgotten seniors, as well as emails from the VJ office and preparations to go back and promote UofC, has given me the rare opp to catch up with been bringing back many VJ memories:
- our class' spectacular flop at MusicFest
- screaming at the ocean at first choir bbq
- when the night wind howls... in the chimney cowls... ;P
- laughing ourselves silly at the ECP mac's, making up Starmach Wars characters
- PRAGUE!!! caroling in the streets, fending off aggressive pickpocketers, going nuts shopping, late-night gossip and maggi mee in hotel rooms, P@P, photo blitzes - running on and off the tour bus freezing at -10 deg C (and we thought THAT was cold...)
- holding hands waiting for SYF results... that frozen moment when Another Choir (AC)'s win was announced... then starting to clap automatically... and crying and singing No Man after that
- after-school jaunts to Parkway
- counting 'k's during Bio lectures
- plotting ways to kill C. Wong
- moaning about having to copy notes during Math lectures
- all the while freezing in LT5
- racing to the canteen afterwards for Muslim food stall spaghetti... and defending my salads from certain scavenging mouths!
- working out how to sleep without being caught during GP
- our entire class sleeping openly during long boring assembly talks in the PT
- our creepy Physics tutor counting down as we frantically worked to finish our labs ("half an hour... 10 minutes... 1 minute... 10, 9, 8, ...")
- losing 2kg in one week as an OGL (all that cheering and dancing!)
- the spontaneous mass dancing that went on each time we won soccer or sailing or sthing, and CKG proclaimed a day off
- the kickass farewell video the staff made for us (Darth "Wah si ning lao peh" Vader and "Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life")
- the great fellowship with choir and class peeps! praise God!
Whoever said it was right: you mostly remember the good stuff from school, none of the mugging and exams really matter. Kap-ped from daddy lish's page (thanks girl! -muah-):

I miss home. I miss choir, and I miss singing! I especially the great friends I've made, and I can't wait to be back.
