More scribbles from a small island
Can't really describe it, but been feeling this vague sense of unease since I've been back... is it the environment (intellectual suffocation! diiiie!!!) or lifestyle (unconscious need to be near laptop 24/7) or sthing? Anyway, I'll try to elaborate if my brain ever wakes up from the stupor it's in - the heat is just so oppressing!
Felt languid and lazy today, came back and meant to clean up my room but fell asleep instead. Woke up to find my aunt standing over me screaming about what an ingrate I am for not joining my dad for dinner. Talk about guilt trips.
But it's ok, we were reminded in church that we have the best Abba father in heaven! Happy Father's Day!!
Singapore is really super small. Have met choir friends on the streets by pure chance, and tonnes of 'new' people who are friends of friends, that sort of thing.
You know you've been there, done that when you realise the Museums here can't hold a candle to the ones you've seen (the Met, MoMA, yada yada). And -this is tragic- when the cheesecake at NYDC doesn't taste authentic anymore. The Mango Tango Cheesecake combo was still a refreshing treat though, and it brought to mind a dear friend who is currently living it up in the Big Apple herself *wave* =)
(edit: poor mango is nursing an injured foot! tc and get well soon my dear!)

NYDC Mango Tango
In other news, REALLY don't feel like starting attachment tomorrow. No more lie-ins and eating when I feel like it (though this would prob make my parents rejoice) sigh...
Heads up! Just got wind of JC class BBQ tmr. Busy busy busy...
