The finest experience... Cha-cha-cha!

Watched Beauty World with Chicago ppl today... The musical had been updated for its '20th anniversary' and was cleaner and more entertaining than before. I loved that Ivy and Frankie had a lot more tunetime, and that the love triangle with Ah Hock was developed more clearly in this interpretation... The set was gorgeous, scene transitions impeccable AND creative (kudos to Ivan Heng) and the live band was amazingly integrated into the whole show.

In any case, the afternoon would have been a lovely one, because Beauty World has a special place in our hearts :) There was wave after wave of nostalgia, and it was all I could do but to restrain myself from discussing each scene and song excitedly with the others (and comparing how ours fared against it) there and then. Of course we proceeded onto that during our customary makan/ gossip session after :D

As Sh says, the friends you make [while studying in the same university] overseas are different from any others... They're really my second family, those for whom if they needed me, I would be ready to drop anything I was doing, any time of the any to help. Love you all!
