The Singapore Dream vs. The Singapore Plan

To be complicit in our unhappiness...not fighting for what we believe in. 1+ years into work, and I'd actually become so acclimatised that it's sometimes hard to believe that a couple of kids, a HDB flat and a car are -not- what everyone is looking for. Not that these are not good things, but they are not for everybody... nor should they be made out to be. I guess that's what Colin Goh and Joycelyn Woo are trying to say with this article... and it brings to mind a very old but timely quote, "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." (Eleanor Roosevelt)

Been quite tied up with work these few days (which is actually a great thing)... But am anticipating a break at church camp this week. Will be seeking refreshment from the Tree of Life!
