Only halfway through 'National Service', and already picked up a treasure trove of nuggets from a wise old bird. Some examples:

- In real life, estimates are useless because the future is so difficult to predict.

- Humans are still smarter than computers because they can learn from experiences and adapt faster.

- An elephant is heavier than a mouse - no point trying to weigh it (!!)
