greek baklava, korean bbq and SPONtaneous outings
Alex' car has increased our mobility 100%!
Last Sat a bunch of us went to Greektown for dinner... and we tried to irritate our friend by trying to find the restaurant with the longest line (busted! haha). Unfortunately my charming smile got us all a table for 6 almost immediately and we were served with utmost efficiency and hospitality (cute Greek waiters exclaiming in Greek and rushing to mop up when my water glass got knocked over... *swoons*)
On Thursday night we 'spontaneously' decided to go to Clarkes (a 24-hr diner in Belmont) for supper... burgers fries and shakes at 1am! Despite being wiped out from midterms and readings it felt really great not to be in the Reg again. And to get a cool verb named after me =P
And today we went for Korean food, on Andy's recommendation... After a long and treacherous journey, and an irritating wait (with american queue jumpers), we finally got seated in the restaurant. We tried out weird preserved veggies in tiny dishes, drank sake (courtesy of Brian) and bbqed thin bulgolgi beef over a very hot coal fire (which made us all smell of smoke) It was very reminescent of Seoul Garden.
I've been really unproductive today. Darn.
