Zouk and the Malthusian theory

Thomas Malthus famously put forth the Principle of Population, based on the idea that population if unchecked increases at a geometric rate (i.e. 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, etc.) whereas food supply grows at an arithmetic rate (i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, etc.). Which is a problem I see mirrored in a little, extremely popular club called Zouk.

A la Malthusian theory, comfort level is inversely proportional to number of people (on the dance floor). As productivity increases (the night wears on and music gets better), more and more people crowd onto the dance floor. There must thus be strong checks on 'population', else misery and vice (elbowing, and fighting, and puking on other ppl's shoes) prevail =P

Ah yes! Malthus says that population must be kept in check with things like wars of fists and big natural disasters like volcanoes erupting with long island tea. SO if there're more fights, more people will be inclined to stay off the dance floor. perfect. =)
