Sometimes I wonder why I agreed to go back to the day care centre. Could it be for any of the following:
What a health hazard. I pray I'll make a difference to these kids, even in my short stay...
edit: realise that perhaps God is putting me where I'll make a difference in my own life as well. He really does work in mysterious ways eh!
- To risk nervous breakdown (or at least breakouts and further hair loss) from 20 kids clamouring for attention all at once
- To expose my eardrums to continuous battering for 8.5 hours every day
- To not regain my (supposedly quite pleasant) voice even after a week of herbal lozenges
- To immerse myself in a hothouse for a million icky germs
- To yan3 hua1 from marking countless badly photocopied examination papers
- To receive insolence or worse, ignorance in return for my goodwill
What a health hazard. I pray I'll make a difference to these kids, even in my short stay...
