cooking takes time...

and therefore cooking = love?
Interesting generalization, but I find it largely true: ppl here tend to 1) place a premium on their time 2) hate cooking and thus 3) hate spending time in the kitchen.

Quick trip down memory lane...

Jap curry v1.. This was when we were still stuck in our temporary apt at Ellis and had a lot of time to figure out what we needed in a kitchen... haha still rem we picked out all the beef and brought the remainder to Beauty World auditions so ppl could dip bread in =P

I'm apparently one of the rare females in my social circle who actually likes cooking! Ironically, guys here seem less averse to cooking. (But I contend a lot of their cooking is done merely to fill the stomach and not the heart.) Whatever the case, I really appreciate the effort that goes into any home-cooked meal... cos it would be so much easier just to live the supermarket/freezer/microwave track). And I used to not like cooking either, always stuck to baking (cos it's just so much more impressive and much much easier)... until I had my own kitchen and could really fill it with stuff I wanted. Was talking to my 3D group a couple Fridays back, and promised to get them together for a meal at my place to show them that cooking isn't as traumatising as most make it out to be!

Seriously... I think it's better than flowers or money. So the next time you want to send a lil love someone's way, cook something!
