thank You for the Music

It's been a crazy tiring week, but thank God for undeserved favour in the workplace. Firstly a presentation got delayed by one week, giving me time to get results in before I wrap up my one-year attachment. And secondly I happened to be in the lab being industrious at the right time, thus avoiding the wrath of my boss in a email (read: howler) sent round this aftn.

I believe I owe my current peace of mind to anointed leaders in church, caring sibs in the faith, and prayer groups in the workplace ministry (despite our high turnover rates, I can really see God moving). Am also beginning to be more aware of opportunities to serve and help others, and in doing so to be enlarged from the inside out... utterly mind-blowing =)

And this is a long overdue thanksgiving for LASIK! Had the op in January, and experienced no side effects since then. Every morning I wake up and the first instinct is to grope for spectacles. Then I remember I can see perfectly well without :)) Ok not 6/6, but I never wanted to be a fighter pilot, so this works for me. The feeling is UNBELIEVABLE (H)

Finally, little things: am looking forward to a room of my own for 2 WHOLE WEEKS cos my sis is going on holiday! Also beaches, live music performances, great food and shopping expeditions, movies galore and unexpected postcards from Paris (thanks so much! ;)
