"Dissapointed Civ Abroad applicants" now have a chance to participate in the new Autumn Paris program, to be taught in Eng. Dunno whether to apply or not...
CONS:
1. Will disrupt my Bio and O Chem seqs. This was enough to set alarm bells ringing in the parents' heads and they advised me not to go.
2. Anyway, makeup summer sch's too bloody long and I have my A* attachment. And SAMSU stuff to settle. And friends and family who've been faithfully counting down the days for me to return home.
3. I'll miss setting up the apartment with my housemates! Tho i COULD fly back early... then I'd be wasting too much money.
PROS:
1. If I don't apply now, I'll never go... can't apply for '07 Spring cos it'll be my last quarter, and can't apply for '07 Autumn cos it'll disrupt my Phys seq... and I kinda want to be here in Sam's first year here.
2. It's the chance of a lifetime! And it's PARIS dammit.

1 wave(s)
1. what happens when you 'disrupt' seqs? (and what are 'seqs' anyway?)
2. nvm about friends and family we want you to make use of any available opportunity to do what you like to over there! and just attend summer school, what else would you be doing otherwise other than mucking about in the sun?
3. please fly back early. you're still young, and you have years to earn it all back. we're talking about college in US, not an everyday activity like walking to the hawker centre. (besides are you sure you trust your housemates to set up the house alone w/o your help? hehh.)
4. i would stay on in sam's first year too, if i were you. is this paris thing something you want to do so much that you'll have a hard time giving up the chance to?
5. yes, paris! oui!
i would go.
having said that, paris (along with the rest of europe) is the kind of city you can visit again and again and again throughout your lifetime, ie not something that you will grow out of, unlike undergrad college life in LA i suppose. so you can always do this some other time y'know!
