what a difference a day makes

plus a good meal, some really uplifting music and pleasant exchanges (that were mostly with women!)

Had my voice exam today. Was really nervous and my voice was quavering non-stop. My examiner was a nice old man though - he seemed to really enjoy the performance, and encouraged me to take up studies for the Diploma. Glory to God for the gift of singing, a fantastic accompanist (Jem you rock!), many supportive friends, and favour in the eyes of the examiner.

We celebrated with Martini hour (and free steak sandwiches!) at The Bar at Morton's, then I went for a Songwriters' Showcase organised by CS Music. Met a colleague, an ex-colleague and Eq baby (who was helping to organise the event) at St. Andrew's and the night proceeded wonderfully. Fresh and good music offered up to God in the middle of Singapore, and it's wonderful that many musical genres were represented (note to self: keep an eye out for Pastor Neli's upcoming album).

All in all, a much better day... and I'm going to enjoy one more free night per week for a while now :)
