battle wounds

Had a field day shopping today. Am proud to say I braved orchard again... it's a complete assault on the eyes, nose, ears... and wallet. Including proxy I spent about $450 today! Hair, books, presents, clothes, and high tea at Esplanade :)

I have decided that one can never have too much of the following:
1. shoes
2. bags
3. earrings
4. perfume
5. anything from body shop (PARTICULARLY the limited edition Sugar n' Spice range :P)
6. anything pink

I think I was either working off my bad mood or just in an incredibly good one. Felt great to see Lying and Cheng again (Rachel ditched us for her NTU meeting *how could you??*), although Cheng stayed for like half an hour before she had to leave for her imaginary dinner (sigh you so should've come back and restrained me from succumbing to retail mania).

At least after 5 hours of being pulled, stretched, blown, ironed, and slathered with strange-smelling chemicals, my hair is restored to its former sleek glory!

Unfortunately my body feels pulverised too. Thus I am taking a hiatus from the bruising crowd - it's just too much. The crush of bodies in the MRT, the glut of cars and pedestrians as the latter wound their way around the former, the someone-will-die-if-i-don't-get-where-i'm-going-in-one-second urgency in their steps... and it's all worse cos this place is so small.
