All in all, a very nice weekend :)

Another week, another weekend. I didn't do any work, but at least I did sthing different!

A. MAJ'N had a retreat on one of our members' farms. Travelling was a big hassle (2.5hrs each way) but it was completely worth it, for the following reasons:

1) It's right out in the countryside - meaning the air is fresher, you can see the stars at night and sleep in absolute quiet (*In The Still... of the Ni-i-ight*). We also visited an elk farm, where we got to stroke goats and cows, and pick a pumpkin for only $1! Also went through a corn maze (maize?), which was absolutely hilarious (we went nuts and had to sacrifice to the corn gods to guide us out).

2) Katherine's place is AMAZING; it looks like it came right out of Better Homes & Gardens. I am not even kidding. The entire house was apparently shipped out there on 4 trucks from this company that specialises in ready-made homes! She has like 3 sitting rooms, a huge hot tub (yes with water jets), and foosball, air hockey, and a bedroom with ensuite bathroom IN THE BASEMENT... not to mention a 4-car garage with a spiral staircase leading down to an "office space and library" that's awaiting high-speed Internet.

3) The 14-ft trampoline that puts mine to shame (3 ppl can bounce on it at once). When you jump up, all you see is cornfields for miles and miles :)

4) The fantastic food - my very first s'more (roast marshmallows over a campfire, then sandwich between 2 graham crackers with a slab of chocolate), fresh sweet raspberries, sunchips and fried chicken. I was basically on a 28-hr binge session while there :O

5) The board games - Americans LOVE them. I learnt Catchphrase, Taboo, Cranium in one night... though really, mahjong beats those anyday :P

6) And of course, the chance to know my fellow singers better and pray and have fellowship with them :)

B. So of course, I was completely exhausted on the way back from the retreat late on Saturday... and what do I get but a call from Brian "evicting" our boxes from his place. He's like, oh, I'm only allowed one cage now, can I come pick you up and help you move back your stuff? Which sounds way fishy for that time of night. That and my darling housemates aren't picking up their phones, even after exhorting me to pick up mine all the time...

But I dutifully follow Brian to pick up the boxes, and what do I find in his apartment but said missing housemates. They (and the Windermere folks) surprised me with 2 adorable molten chocolate cakes! And this:

10 pretty princesses in a row...

I'm supposed to poke holes in it, a-princess-a-day, but no idea where this is leading yet. Whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be great so... thanks ppl *hugs*
