Cheated of a Starbucks drink.*

Well it was kind of a trade-off, albeit a forced one. Met this guy outside the hospital who could speak some (rotten) chinese... asked for directions and he was extremely helpful, even getting off the bus and leading us to the right stop. We didn't realise that when he asked for a treat he really meant it... he just walked into a starbucks n ordered a large coffee. worst part was, he kept saying "God bless you" and "Thank God I met you, i always thank Him" as if to justify the gift... Said he'd just been to church but it could have been because he saw my crucifix. hai sometimes I dunno what is being too nice and what isn't.

Just as I said the weather was warm... it's so unreal to experience the warmth of the sun on my back and at the same time, the unforgiving cold wind.

Getting the hang of the buses... how to pay fare, swipe transit card and so on. As for getting off... you just ask the drivers to let you off at wherever. And -I'm so proud of myself!- figured out the El today. It's simple really... but it can't beat the MRT!

Off for dinner and last-min cramming for calculus now... thank you Father for bringing back all my differentiation and integration! I have the mind of Jesus amen!
