TGITW!

praise God for his kindness and mercy endure forever! He's seen me through a hectic coupla weeks...

Classes - 'A's actually covered what we're gg thru in bio and chem now, so lectures ae pretty sleepy... but lab reports are such a pain cos they have to be typed up.
Math is all proofs and my brain is rebeling against the whole concept of "suppose sthing equals sthing to show sthing equals sthing"... God you guided me in the midterm! I can't wait to get out of 153 and be done with Math.
Hume is actually the most interesting class right now I just wish I could overcome my phobia of sounding stupid and speak up.

Excursions - Singaporeans rock! Last Sat we went to Penang... it's a Malaysian restaurant with GREAT asian food! i'm salivating just remembering the sambal kangkong, satay and steamed garoupa. Ice kacang was too coarse though, they don't have those ice shaver machines here :(
THEN we watched Grease at the Chicago Theatre *swoons* I'm convinced I need a musical every week. Can't wait for Mamma Mia...

The tragicomedy abt tt day was losing my wallet on the #6! I can't imagine if it fell out of my bag or it got pickpocketed... there went UCID, shoreland ID, atm card, chem lab key, room key and other miscellanea. i was like "why does this kinda crap always happen to me???" maybe He wanted to show me how nice Jon and Jeffrey were... they actually walked all the way back to the bus stop with me to check, and called the CTA while i basically hyperventilated... Thankfully everything's replaced now (albeit putting a rather big dent in my wallet)... i'm def considering some cord to attach it to me! screw how stupid i'll look.

Yday night 6 of us went to watch Shark Tale... a really cool, irreverent dreamworks film! Oscar (the little fish in a big city) looked SO much like will smith... they had renee zellweger as angie *cheers* and robert de niro as shark mafia chief, and jack black as Lenny the vegetarian cross-dressing shark *laughs*. it was literally a laugh a minute. i have to get the soundtrack it's full of groovy hiphop tunes.

Housemates - my roomies rock! ok well i seldom see them and they leave stuff all over the place but they're generally great to talk to. feel a bit guilty for spending so little time on the floor but seriously there is no way to study in here... ppl walk into my room every 5 minutes. it's a great way to get to know ppl tho, because i'm not the sort to talk to random ppl abt random stuff! usually.

Despite all the busy-ness and craziness I find i'm having a good time... UofC is changing me, though i can't decide if it's for good or bad. it's all very subtle... read some quote "A mind once expanded, never regains its original dimensions" or sthing like that. i'll be the optimist for now... onward to new experiences!
