all in a day's work
Breathlessness
Woke up late and missed the 8.30 shuttle. Remembered my friend chasing it down, so i tried, but it didn't wait for me, which is even more embarrassing than boarding the bus alone!) Anyway the point is i need to start working out. or carry less books around, which doesn't seem likely (see "Accomplishment")
Hope
Sandra and I were fighting a losing battle with the Z monster during Bio lec today when I realized Thanksgiving is 2 weeks away! Upon my reminder, in excited whispers, of this prospective momentous occasion, we were both imbued with newfound concentration =)
Trauma
We were supposed to get our bio midterms back today, but when i got to the head of the A-G queue -no, line! - the TA told me my paper hadn't been graded yet! Scary! like he knew my name by heart and all. he must have seen my face cos he said in an attempt to be reassuring "you're paper's fine, look for me on Fri". guess it's all good cos if i did badly then at least i won't be depressed n demotivated til after chem on fri. only i can't tell if i "screwed the curve" or "got screwed by it"... darn.
Accomplishment
Have discovered the holy grail of math - the calc textbook! brought it to class today, so i don't have to copy frantically while trying to understand... and i understood everything that was going on for like the first time all quarter! praise god.
Was so happy i bought 2 subway cookies to celebrate... also finished textbook reading for chem, and getting my chem qns solved at office hours! haha this guy from china helped me even though his hours were up and he was really clear.
Frustration
with the CTA/ bus service/ myself, for our unseemly lack of coordination. thrice today i've had trouble getting on buses at the right times... sorry ppl this transportation thing is my pet peeve *needacarneedacarneedacar*

This is the story of my life. i have a chem midterm on fri, math next fri, hume paper to rewrite and prob another one to be assigned next week, PLUS 8 songs to memorise in btwn... which of course i should've done ages ago.
Satisfaction
spanish tapas, paella and desserts... followed by neil gaiman's entrancing voice and autographs! i can't wait to read Anansi Boys.
unfortunately the gaiman outing is also why i'm up at this hour finishing my chem pre-lab (i hate the way lnP is written/read as logP, and all the other crappy notation conventions!) owell gnite!
