A beginning... and an end

In retrospect, 2005 has been a tumultuous year. Certainly one of the most eventful, most happening years I've had (but I say that every year) :)

Here are 10 nuggets of experiental knowledge, picked up from a mere quarter of college living:
1. Taking care of drunks is easy. Just don't let them get anywhere near your carpet.
2. There ARE people in the world outside ourselves, suffering oppression poverty and hunger and natural disasters... :( There're so many awareness-raisers on campus (e.g. that video on Christian persecution in church, the screening of Children of Heaven)
3. You really CAN do what you wanna do. In life, academia, relationships - as long as you have coffee/ chocolate/ a pink slip, and a disarming smile =P
4. The Reg really IS cool. Really.
5. Law of Disappearing Money: it just does.
6. Forgetting sunblocking = sunburn = face peeling = dandruff = much distress
7. Singaporean food is DA BOMB and you only realise how much you've missed it after a long a period of absence :)
8. Your parents are the best ppl to count on when you need them.
9. If they fail, there are your friends.
10. There's no place like home. :)

And my New Year's resolutions:
1. Get driving license
2. To get some exercise. Besides walking to and from Shoreland.
3. To take better care of my health by sleeping more regularly and eating less sweets
4. To be a better daughter, spend more time with parents and call home more frequently
5. To spend more time in God's word, and to seek and trust Him more in the everyday things I do.
